EVANGELISM
“The fruit of the
righteous is a tree of life; and he
that winneth souls is wise” (Proverbs 11:30).
Religious experience was not a routine, a ritual, or faith
experience. It was viewed as a mastery of the art of living in accordance with
God's expectations. In their definition, the words “skillful’,
"mastery" and "art" signify that wisdom was a process of
attainment and not an accomplishment.
The
COMMITTED
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope
that is in you with meekness and fear:” (1 Peter 3:15).
When we sanctify God in our hearts before others, then our conduct
invites and encourages them to glorify and honour Him. Many will ask the reason
of our hope. As a believer, we should be able to give an answer of our faith
with meekness, in the fear of God. There should be no room for fear when
winning a soul for Christ.
DESIGNED and DEVELOPED
The church is designed by Christ to develop the believer for
ministry, to preserve and perfect them in the faith.
“And he gave
some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors
and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the
ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the
stature of the fulness of Christ:” (Ephesians 4:11-13). (Colossians 2:6-7; 1 Peter2:5).
TODAY’S
SALVATION MESSAGE
As
the Body of Christ, now is the time to work together with Christ and reach out
for souls and proclaim the gospel message of salvation. For many that have not
heard this message of salvation, their time was not yesterday, it’s not
tomorrow but NOW is their accepted time.
“We then, as workers together with him, beseech you
also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For
he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation
have I succoured thee: behold, now is
the accepted time; behold, now is the
day of salvation.) Giving no offence in any
thing, that the ministry be not blamed:” (2 Corinthians 6:1-3).
“Wise men seek
them” CON’T…..
The
WISE RESCUES FROM DESTRUCTION
“Let him know,
that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul
from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins” (James 5:20).
“And of some have
compassion, making a difference: And others save with
fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh” (Jude 1:22-23).
ZEAL
of the WISE
A
wise believer full of the Holy Ghost and faith will have a zeal (fervent desire
or interest) to win souls for the Kingdom of God. Wise men seek them at any
cost, place or situation, not being concerned of what others may say or think
about them or even what others may do to them (persecution).
“Say not ye,
There are yet four months, and then
cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields;
for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth
receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that
soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour:
other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours” (John 4:35-38). See also Matthew 18:11; Romans 10:1, 11:14 and 1 Corinthians 9:22
You’ve
got the VICTORY
Attempt
at every opportunity, as you are led and prompted by the Holy Ghost to share
and witness to an unsaved person the risen Lord and Savior. Expect GOD to do
great things because you have the victory.
“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye
stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye
know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:57-58) Also Philippians
4:13.
WISE
are HONOURED
“If any man serve
me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any
man serve me, him will my Father
honour” (John 12:26). (1 Samuel 2:30, 1 Peter 1:7)
If anyone will serve and follow Christ and make him or herself
available for service then this individual will be of great value to the
Kingdom of God. God will indeed honour them. In it’s original Greek the word
honour is defined as to estimate, fix the value of something
belonging to one's self.
